In a report by Dish Around Town, Zunzibar vice president of operations Tony Lang said, "Jupiter felt right the first time we walked the site," describing why the coastal restaurant group picked 80 Intracoastal Point Drive for its first Florida location.
Zunzibar's April opening wasn't an isolated bet. Between February and late April of this year, three separate operators opened restaurants in Jupiter. Every one had already built a name somewhere else first.
Three Restaurant Openings in Jupiter
Chef Joe Isidori opened Arthur & Sons in late February at 4050 S. US Highway 1 in the Bluffs Square Shoppes, replacing the former Uncle Eddie's. Isidori is Michelin-starred, a third-generation restaurateur whose family has been in the New York restaurant business since the 1950s, and Arthur & Sons had already built a following in Manhattan's West Village before this became its first Florida address. He wasn't scouting Jupiter cold. He'd kept a home in Abacoa since the early 2000s and has described the opening as a homecoming rather than an expansion.
SaltBird Kitchen & Bar opened at 251 US Highway 1 with a ribbon-cutting on February 15. Its partners include hospitality operator Brian Leary and Atlanta chef Ron Eyester, a Season 13 Top Chef alum who has cooked twice at the James Beard House. SaltBird launched Jazz Sundays with the Jupiter Jazz Society the same week it opened, with the series running 6 to 9 p.m. every Sunday since.
Then came Zunzibar on April 27, at 80 Intracoastal Point Drive. It's the brand's third location and its first outside Georgia, following spots in Savannah and Tybee Island. The company describes the Jupiter site as chosen instantly.

The Calendar That Doesn't Wait for a Ribbon-Cutting
A few minutes inland, Downtown Abacoa offers a different kind of draw. Its calendar was already running before any of these restaurants existed, and it doesn't need a new opening to justify it.
Food Truck Fridays happen on the second Friday of every month at the Abacoa Amphitheater on University Boulevard, from 4:30 to 9 p.m., and the Abacoa Property Owners' Association calendar has it booked clear through December 11. Golf Cart Night runs the first Friday of the month, 6 to 10 p.m., with a December date already locked for the 4th. Neither event depends on a headline act or a new business opening down the block. They're built around bringing your own chair and picking from whichever trucks show up that month.
The Abacoa Amphitheater also hosts a free monthly tribute concert series produced by Legends Radio 100.3 and Robinson Entertainment. The remaining 2026 lineup runs a Rolling Stones tribute on October 17, an Eagles tribute on November 21, and a KISS tribute on December 19, each starting at 7:30 p.m. with no cover charge. It's the kind of series that doesn't ask anyone to plan around it. It just keeps showing up on the same Saturday pattern, month after month.
HarbourFest Adds a Friday to the Fall Calendar
Jupiter HarbourFest is the newest addition to the fall calendar. The festival launched in October 2025 as a two-day event at Plaza Down Under on the Riverwalk, running Saturday and Sunday, October 18 and 19, produced by the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce and presented by Jupiter Medical Center. This year it shifted to a Friday-Saturday format, October 16 and 17, with a Friday evening tastings kickoff at Harbourside Place from 5 to 8 p.m. and a full Saturday of live music and food back at Plaza Down Under.
The Friday-Saturday format adds an evening tasting kickoff to the weekend. Pumpkin Fest returns to Harbourside Place on October 10 for its 10th annual run, benefiting the Chasin A Dream Foundation with a pumpkin patch, trick-or-treating to more than 50 vendors, and live music.
HarbourFest joins Pumpkin Fest, Food Truck Fridays, Golf Cart Night, and the Abacoa tribute series, putting events on both the waterfront and inland sides of town this fall.
