Now licensed in the state of Florida, previously serving as The Douglas Elliman Director Of Sales at Akoya Boca West since 2017, and now, Senior Sales Executive at Alina Boca Raton, since 2020, which will be over a One Billion dollar sellout upon completion!
She began her profession in real estate upon graduation from the University of Maryland at College Park, in 1991, where she fulfilled a dual major in Political Science and English Literature. During her three-decade-long career, Kathy has achieved a number of milestones! Prior to coming to work at Douglas Elliman in 2006, she served as The Director of Sales, for the largest, independently owned and operated real estate firm in NYC. In that position, she lead the entire sales team and staff, and was literally the driving force behind thousands of transactions, which translated into more than $500 million dollars in sales revenue! She was responsible for reviewing all of the offers generated by her sales team, the evaluation of all board packages prior to submission, and the oversight and maintenance of the entire sales database. She wrote all of the firm’s marketing materials, which included multiple forms of print-based media, as well as all web-based platforms, and forged important relationships with numerous vendors, and service providers, whom she is still in contact with to this day!
Prior to that, she had formed ECP Realty Group, a private-equity-based real estate firm, which was listed with Dunn and Bradstreet, during her tenure there. In her early years in the industry, she created a corporate relocation division for another well-known firm, formed a luxury rental division for yet another, and served on the REBNY (Real Estate Board Of New York) Rental Ethics Committee in the early ’90s, as well as the now-defunct DBA - Downtown Broker's Association.
Kathy has been involved with the intricacies of property ownership since she was a little girl, due to family-owned real estate in Long Island City and Manhattan. This has channeled her passion for real estate, which is readily apparent upon your very first interaction with her. Positive, focused, and knowledgeable! Those are all words that have been used to describe her and are key components to her longevity in this complex and intense industry.
Kathy is an avid tennis player. When time permits, you are likely to find her in action on the court.
